BIOGRAPHY


Gigi Hoeller was born and raised in West Vancouver, British Columbia. After extensive travels, she moved to Gold River on beautiful Vancouver Island in 1999. In this peaceful setting, the energetic artist paints every day, cares for numerous small animals, operates the Butterfly Bed and Breakfast, and maintains The Dahlia Art Gallery in Gold River, BC, while still exhibiting at other locations on Vancouver Island and in Greater Vancouver.



Since moving to Gold River, Gigi has concentrated on painting extremely bright and intense floral compositions that range in sizes from 16 x 16” to 48 x 48”. She also creates unusual mixed-media paintings with subjects ranging from gardens and cats to homes, architectural images and images from her travels.

In 2005, Gigi was awarded a commission to design twelve postage stamps for the Marshall Islands. She has participated in numerous shows, including a solo exhibition at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, the Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River, and the Blackberry Gallery in Port Moody, among many others.

She has donated several pieces of artwork for charity, including the “Theatre Terrific Society,” “Living Oceans Society” and “Street Artworks” among many others.

Gigi's work can be viewed in Vancouver at “Final Touch Frames,” “Café Il Nido”, the Dundarave Fish Market in West Vancouver and in her own gallery in Gold River.

Gigi accepts commissions to paint a favorite flower or a bouquet, a pet, your home or a photo from your favorite vacation. A commissioned painting can take anywhere from a week to a month to paint, and the price is based on several considerations:

1) size of painting
2) vertical or horizontal
3) color scheme
4) budget
